Happy Holidays

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  We sure did.  I didn’t mean to keep you all in suspense so long waiting for the posting of my favorite photo of Tanner and Santa.  I used this photo on our Christmas card, so I wanted to be sure that everyone received their card before I posted it.  We were very late in sending out our cards this year, hence the late posting of the photo.  Here it is…

This was the photo I was hoping to get when I hired Santa back in April.   That brings me to the story of how I “found” Santa.  We had a garage sale in April.  As we were standing around the garage hoping all of our junk would find new homes, Santa walks up our driveway.  I start elbowing my husband, “That’s Santa.”  My husband didn’t recognize Santa in his street clothes, so I asked this man “Are you Santa?”  Of course, he was Santa and he said he would be happy to come over for photos.  How lucky are we?  Plus, some of our junk found a new home at Santa’s house.  Bonus!

Santa now has a website where he’s posted some of my favorite photos from our Santa sessions.  His site is www.topekasanta.com  Thank you to all of you who participated in the Santa sessions.  We had such a great time!  Santa will be back next year, so be sure to mark your calendars for the two weekends after Thanksgiving.  (Yes, we’ve already added another weekend because so many people have indiciated their interest in the sessions!  THANKS!)

A Christmas Tradition

By all accounts the Santa sessions were a success!  It is so nice to hear that your experiences with Santa were memorable and that you are loving the photos.  Make a visit with Santa at Centerpiece Photography a Christmas tradition…Santa has agreed to visit again next year, so mark your calendars for the first weekend in December.  :-)

Several of you are using your photos for holiday cards this year.  I am really enjoying designing the holiday cards!  Now, I just need to decide what to do for our own Christmas card!  If only I had some cute photos of Tanner and Santa.  Ha!

Here’s another candidate to use in the card.  Nope, its still not the “good” one.

Happy Holidays

I couldn’t resist posting another one of Tanner and Santa.  (Nope, this one isn’t my favorite one…that’s still to come.)

We Love Santa!

We had the pleasure of having Santa visit for us two days.  Tanner just loved Santa and they have become fast friends.  I’ll save the story of how I “found” Santa for another post, but I couldn’t wait to share this one of him and Tanner.  As much as I love this image, its not even my favorite…I’m saving that one for our Christmas card (don’t worry, I’ll share it as Christmas approaches).  Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend for the Santa sessions.  I hope it was a memorable time for your families.  Also, a great big thank you to my elves.  I couldn’t have done it without you.  :-)
