Sorry for keeping you all in suspense for so long regarding the announcement for our contest, but I promise it was worth the wait. In fact, I have not one . . . not two . . . but THREE contests to announce.

Contest #1 – The Referral Contest

As you know, I really appreciate referrals! So, on top of the complimentary 8 by 10 you will receive for each referral, the person with the most referrals between January 1, 2007 and May 31, 2007 will win a fantastic prize package consisting of a one hour photo session in the Topeka area along with a $200 credit toward the purchase of prints from that session. Those of you who have made referrals since January 1, 2007 already have some “points” in this contest. I am currently scheduling sessions for families, children, events and so forth.  If you would like postcards to hand out to your friends, family, co-workers, complete strangers, etc, etc, just let me know and I’ll get them to you right away. I will announce the winner of this contest in June.

Contest #2 – The Miller’s Baby and Child Portrait Contest

Miller’s Professional Imaging, the lab I use to process prints, is hosting a Baby and Child Portrait Contest. They are providing $21,000 in prize money! The lab will award prizes in four categories: color photos, black & white photos, humorous photos and photos of children with special needs. They will award four prizes in each category: $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second place and $500 for two honorable mentions. There is also a grand prize award of $5,000! The cash prizes are awarded to the parents or guardian of the winning entries. The images must be of a child age twelve years or younger and taken between January 2, 2007 and May 31, 2007. I must submit the images to the lab no later than June 30, 2007. If you are interested in entering the contest, you will need to fill out an entry form that must be submitted with my order to the lab. You may enter one photo of your choice from your session. Although we will be competing with many other photography studios in this contest, I would love it if one (or more!) of your photos placed in this contest. Each entry will receive a FREE 5 by 7 of the photo that is entered into the contest. Millers will judge the entries in July and I will announce whether any of you are winners once I learn the results of the contest from Millers.

Contest #3 – The Centerpiece Photography Baby and Child Portrait Contest

We are hosting our own Baby and Child Portrait Contest. Each of the entries in the Contest # 2 will automatically be included in our own portrait contest. First place will receive a $100 print credit, second place will receive a $75 print credit and third place with receive a $50 print credit. The entries will be judged by someone who does not know any of the families participating in the contest. (This will not be an easy task for me to find a judge who does not know any of you…but I’ll figure something out.)  I will announce the winner of this contest in June.
