Sad Day

When I was practicing law, I knew the work I was doing was important.  Protecting a criminal defendant’s Constitutional rights is important. Protecting a creditor’s rights in bankruptcy is important.  Yesterday, I realized that the work I’m doing now as a photographer is also important.

Photographing families is important.

Many of you had the pleasure of meeting Janet when she worked for me.  Yesterday, her fiance Greg Wadkins and his brother Chris were killed in a tragic car accident.  My thoughts go out to the Wadkins and Pruett families, particularly to Janet and Greg’s son Jack.

March 25, 2009 - 3:13 pm Shana Hubbell - Melissa I am so sad to hear this news. I live in Rossville and saw the wrecked vehicles yesterday. My body filled with goosebumps and my eyes filled with tears to hear this news to see the scene. My heart goes out to Janet and Jack and their families. I am praying for them and their comfort during this difficult time.

March 26, 2009 - 12:25 pm Megan Kirkwood - Seeing these pictures just brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for doing this. We all need to help Jack know his daddy through our great memories of Greg.

March 27, 2009 - 5:27 pm Dustie Nitcher - I have known Greg for years, these are wonderful pictures of him and his family. Thank you for sharing them!!

March 30, 2009 - 2:58 pm Heather Crowder - Melissa, Such amazing work you do! I have been friends with Greg for several years and have never seen such amazing photos of him. Janet & Jack completed him and made him so happy. It's such a shame that we lost him so early in life. Thank you for sharing these one of a kind photos.
